Our weekly Messy Mates sessions are currently concluding. We have two final sessions remaining:

  • Tuesday 31st March

  • Tuesday 14th April

Following these dates, our weekly term-time sensory schedule will be on hiatus. Booking after 14th April is only available for the formats listed below.

What is Sensory Play at Smart Start Kids?

Our sensory sessions are designed to be a "yes-centred" environment where children are free to explore, imagine, and discover at their own pace. By engaging the senses—touch, sight, and sound—we provide a foundational learning experience that spark’s a child's natural curiosity.

In our studio, you will find:

Themed Sensory Stations

Carefully curated trays filled with varied textures, from coloured grains and water play to "magic" potions and forest floors.

Creative Freedom

There is no "right way" to play. Children are encouraged to pour, scoop, mix, and explore our tactile materials.

A Welcoming Space

 A safe, engaging environment where children aged 1.5 to 8 can enjoy the freedom of messy play without the clean-up at home!

How to Experience Sensory Play With Us

At Smart Start Kids, we believe that sensory exploration is the foundation of curiosity. While our regular weekly classes are taking a break after April, there are three ways for your little explorers to continue diving into our themed sensory worlds:

Sensory Birthday Parties

Our most popular way to experience sensory play! Book a private, two-hour celebration where children have exclusive access to themed sensory stations and our full toy collection.

School Holiday Camps

Sensory exploration is a core highlight of our holiday programmes. We integrate sensory play activities into our full-day camps to provide creative, hands-on exploration alongside our science and art projects.

Messy play Pop-Up Sessions

We occasionally host one-off "Messy Play" pop-up events throughout the year. These sessions are perfect for families who want the fun of sensory exploration without a weekly commitment.
